Our chiropractic techniques

Our principal chiropractor, Dr John Kyneur, has incorporated a wide variety of gentle non-force procedures over his more than 30 years of practice. This makes our work suitable for all ages: babies, toddlers, teens, pregnant mums, elderly and everyone in between.

Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT)

SOT procedure utilises the category system of patient analysis. This method provides many indicators of spinal distortion. By following the indicators provided by your body, you receive effective and specific adjustments. By using specially designed padded pelvic wedges your body is de-stressed naturally.

Torque Release Technique (TRT)

TRT utilises another effective method of spinal analysis. It looks at neck positions, leg lengths and changing responses in your body. It can provide the exact spinal level of adjustment you need at that given moment. The element known as Torque adds the three dimensional factor be spinal correction, often not considered in other methods and procedures. TRT is the work of Dr Jay Holden of Miami, Florida and uses the light force instrument known as the Integrator.

Soft Tissue Procedure

Busy lifestyles mean physical, emotional and even chemical stress accumulates in our bodies. The hard tissue (bone) becomes subluxated (out of place) producing nerve interference. This affects the soft tissues which support our framework. Common findings are muscle tightness, liver and spleen displacements. An often overlooked muscle is our respiratory diaphragm which is under daily tension. The diaphragm pump is a procedure utilised in our clinic. A gentle, corrective process the diaphragm pump:

  • De-stresses the thoracic – lumber spine
  • Strengthens the diaphragm
  • Stimulates rib motion
  • Promotes tissue oxygenation and
  • Helps your body flush out toxins

Upper Cervical

The upper neck area has for many decades been an area of special interest and study for chiropractors. Our method at Haberfield Chiropractic is based on the work of Drs Grostic, Gregory, Pettibon and Cowin, and utilises an instrument producing a light gentle vibrating to the upper neck region. Before and after indicators ensure the correct procedure has been performed. This produces the best, lasting results.

A healthy spine and good posture allow us to have free body movement for fitness and health. Chiropractic adjustments enable the correct force to be applied to your spine and structure at each visit. The fact that our spines and posture are creatures of habit, means the good work you receive from a chiropractic adjustment can be undone. This is where rehabilitation (use of specific exercise) becomes essential for your long term corrections. Essentially, rehabilitation is the action of restoring something that has been damaged to its former condition. Our rehabilitation programs aim to get your body functioning at its best and keep it there! Extremities technique: Which Chiropractic has placed its main emphasis on spine and posture over the last few centuries, the extremities (essentially your limbs – arms and legs) may also need correction for proper nerve supply and best performance. At Haberfield Chiropractic, procedures are utilised for hands, elbows, shoulders, hips, knees and feet.
