Low Back Pain

Low back pain is a condition that affects some 80% of people at some point in their lifetime. It accounts for more sick leave and disability than any other medical condition.
There can be many reasons for low back pain. Often, one doesn't even feel the pain until the condition causing it has been in existence for years.
One of the most common is pelvis misalignment.
This can come from an injury (often at an early age), which twists the spine more and more, pulling the supporting muscles out of their normal shape and thus dragging the pelvis out of alignment too. This puts stress on the lower back, tightening and straining the muscles and nerves – and sooner or later creating pain.
So what can be done about this?
Well, as a first step there are exercises that one can do by oneself to help the body's natural healing cycle, and relieve the symptoms of pain and discomfort.

Here is one for you to try yourself:
Lying on your back, curl your knees onto your chest, clasp your knees with your hands, pull your knees further onto your chest, count to 5, then relax.
Try doing this ten times, once or twice per day.
Naturally though, the best solution would be to see a Chiropractor, who can assist the spine to return to its natural alignment, and give you some real relief.
