Sore Knees

Knee Pain

One's knees may seem a long way removed from one's spine, but in fact, they are very much related. The spine affects the knees, and the knees affect the spine.

Inspecting the ligaments and joints of the knees, one quickly realises that they are a complex creation made up of multiple bones wrapped with several different layers of muscle and sinew. They are flexible yet strong, and carry almost our entire weight every single day. If you think about it this way, it is not all that surprising how many things can go wrong with the whole operation.

The hips set the angle that the legs will be at. In a healthy person, this will be in a relatively straight movement – for which the knees are perfectly designed.

However, imagine if that angle were to be changed, even just slightly. Then imagine the weight was not even, so one knee gets more weight than the other. Can you imagine the effect of standing that way for say ten, twenty or even thirty years?

Reckon it would make much of a difference?

But, you may ask, what can I do about it? After all, if my hips have been out of whack for this long, it's not as if I can just change it overnight!

Well, this is what is handled in chiropractic. It is a Top-Down approach. Straighten the spine and hips, and you handle the legs, the organs, and the general wellbeing of a person.

Here at Haberfield Chiropractic, we also take care of the situation from the Bottom Up. Namely, by the use of Foot Levelers – the latest and most advanced orthotics, which are fitted to one's foot by very precise means, and used to re-stabilise one's feet and legs. These are actually a revolutionary design. Soft and flexible, they are very comfortable and can be fitted to any shoes – even sandles and high heels!

If you have aching, sore or tired knees, feet or ankles, then you need to call us today on 9799 9995, and come in for a consultation. You don't have to live with pain.
