First Visit
The first visit is very important in correctly beginning the healing cycle.
Your First Visit to Haberfield Chiropractic is, in fact, two visits. One is for a Consultation and Examination, where X-Rays are taken of the patient. Two is to view the marked-up X-Rays and receive the Report of Findings. Both are included in the same First Visit fee.

Consultation and Examination
It is vital the Chiropractor learns enough of the new patient’s background information to fully understand the circumstances surrounding his or her condition. That is why all new patients must fill out a Questionnaire. If you are an Australian Citizen please bring your Medicare Card, as Medicare will cover you part of the expense of the X-Rays.
Following this, X-Rays are taken and carefully gone over to determine what the exact state of the spine is. This enables the Chiropractor to easily find the correct course of care he should undertake on the patient. As you can understand this is extremely important and is why X-Rays are always taken.
If you already have recent X-Rays, please let the receptionist know. If they are current enough they may remove the need to take new ones.
Children or pregnant women are of course an exception to this rule – therefore please always let the Doctor know if you are expecting. This is most important to the health and safety of the unborn child.
Once the X-Rays have been taken, the patient makes a new appointment to have his Report of Findings. There is no additional fee for this.
Report of Findings
In the Report of Findings, the X-Rays taken earlier are gone over in detail by the Chiropractor, highlighting the patient’s spinal condition, and how this is affecting his nerves, organs, and general health and wellbeing. It can be quite revelatory.
Following this, the patient may begin his course of care with an adjustment. Do not be surprised if it is very gentle! The techniques used in Haberfield Chiropractic (S.O.T. and Upper Cervical Technique) primarily are amongst the gentlest, though most effective, in the Chiropractic field.
It is said the body needs no help in looking after itself, just no interference.
